KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead overall project operations including Collection & Transportation (C&T), Processing & Disposal(P&D), transfer stations, MRFs, waste processing facilities, and landfill operations.
• Ensure efficient handling of 1,000-3,000 TPD of municipal solid waste as per contractual and
regulatory requirements. Drive operational productivity, route optimization, fleet efficiency, manpower utilization, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure achievement of project KPIs, SLAs, revenue targets, profitability goals, and customer service standards.
• Collection & Transportation (C&T)
• Manage door-to-door collection, secondary collection, transportation logistics, route planning, and fleet deployment.
• Monitor daily waste lifting targets, collection efficiency, vehicle utilization, and service quality.
• Implement GPS tracking, route optimization systems, and fleet performance monitoring.
• Processing & Disposal (P&D)
• Oversee waste processing facilities including MRFs, RDF operations, composting facilities, transfer
stations, and landfill operations.
• Ensure optimum waste recovery, resource recovery, processing efficiency, and environmental
compliance. Monitor facility performance, operational efficiency, and regulatory adherence.
• Fleet & Asset Management
• Manage a fleet of 2,000+ vehicles and operational equipment.
• Ensure preventive maintenance, fleet availability, fuel efficiency, breakdown reduction, and asset
optimization. Drive implementation of fleet management systems and operational analytics.
• Manage annual project revenues exceeding 200 Crores.
• Prepare operational budgets, monitor project expenditures, and drive cost control initiatives.
• Improve project profitability through productivity enhancement and operational efficiency programs.
• Lead and manage a workforce of 3,000+ employees, supervisors, engineers, managers, and support staff.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Municipal Corporations, Urban Local Bodies, Government
Officials, and Regulatory Authorities.
• Ensure compliance with concession agreements, service level requirements, and statutory
obligations. Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve operational escalations effectively.
• Ensure compliance with SWM Rules 2016, CPCB/SPCB guidelines, environmental regulations, and
labor laws.
• Drive HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) initiatives across project operations.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Operations Management, or related
discipline. MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 15-20 years of experience in waste management, municipal services, logistics, utilities, infrastructure, or large-scale operations.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing large workforce-intensive operations.
• Proven experience in handling:
• 1,000+ TPD MSW operations.
• 1,000+ manpower-intensive projects.
• Strong knowledge of Collection & Transportation (C&T) and Processing & Disposal (P&D) operations.
• Experience in waste processing, landfill management, MRF operations, RDF facilities, or
environmental infrastructure preferred.
• Strong commercial, operational, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to relocate and work at project locations.
