Responsibilities for Lab Assistant/Lab Technician
Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instrumentsReceive or collect, as well as process, samplesCalculate test results, and log and report results using a computerPrepare and supervise experimentsPerform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessaryMaintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work areaPractice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulationsSetting of laboratory equipment/apparatus for smooth conduction of practicals.Able to handle lab experiments and assist faculty and students during practcals.Maintain Stock, Breakage, issue of components register and all other lab related documents.Maintain Purchase Equipment receiving file.Enforce lab policies, practices, and safety standards
Qualifications For Lab Technician
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physics2- 3 years of experience working in a labComputer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programsAnalytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement; ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratiosStrong attention to detailAbility to write correspondence and reportsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc.
