We're hiring a full-time Cost Accountant to join Babco Foods. This is not a routine accounting role. We are looking for someone who can deeply understand pricing, margins, profitability, promotions, operational costs, and market dynamics, and help drive strategic business decisions across a fast-growing international food distribution business.
Location: India (remote)
Required Collaboration Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. US Eastern Time

Own pricing analysis across products, customers, markets, logistics, and distribution channelsTrack and analyze profitability drivers including freight, warehousing, packaging, sourcing, duties, and operational costsBuild financial models and scenario analyses to support pricing decisions and growth initiativesDevelop margin optimization strategies while ensuring sales competitiveness and affordabilityCreate and monitor product-level, customer-level, and channel-level profitability reportingPartner with leadership and sales teams to develop promotional strategies and pricing initiativesIdentify cost leakages, margin risks, and operational inefficienciesSupport future expansion initiatives through forecasting, modeling, and financial analysisHard Requirements
7+ years of cost accounting and profitability analysis experience in manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, food, or related industriesCMA (India) or equivalent professional qualification requiredStrong expertise in pricing analysis, cost allocation, and profitability modelingAdvanced Excel and financial modeling capabilitiesAbility to understand operational workflows and convert them into financial insightsStrong analytical thinking and high attention to detailAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong Plus
Experience in food distribution, FMCG, manufacturing, or import/export industriesExposure to Middle East and international marketsUnderstanding of global logistics and supply chain cost structuresExperience working with ERP systems and operational reportingCommercial or strategic finance experience beyond traditional accountingImportant
