    We want to keep our customers for life. To do that, customer success is probably going to be our most important function and we want to treat it like that. So far our customer success function has been founder-led, we have a track record of 250+ 5-star reviews and the envious net negative churn (to the extent where some of our customers pay 5-10X of what they started with).


    We're now at a point where we've scaled 10X in the past year and to do that again next year we want to double down on our existing customers. This role involves owning customer retention and making them true fans of BiteSpeed while also listening to customer feedback to form a pipe of customer insights for our product team.


    What you'll do


    Your core job is to own our customer relationships, make them successful and fans of BiteSpeed.


    Tracking product adoption for our enterprise customers, ensuring they are getting maximum value leading to upsells and expansion revenue.


    Becoming a trusted product advisor for our customers, helping them with all the tricks of the trade to get maximum value from BiteSpeed.

    About the role


    This role is about owning and safeguarding a rapidly scaling treasury. As we grow from $10M to $50M ARR, the goal is to build a best-in-class finance function from the ground up-one that combines strong controllership with sharp financial planning.


    This is the senior-most finance leader at the company. You'll work directly with the Founder and leadership team, owning the entire finance charter-80% controllership, 20% FP&A-while building a team and systems that scale sustainably.


    What you'll do


    Own the entire finance function end-to-end-controllership, financial operations, and FP&A.


    Lead all controllership activities: accounting, closures, audits, due diligence, and statutory compliance.


    Set up and enforce strong internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial discipline from day one.


    Build and scale a high-performing finance team, hiring and structuring for long-term growth.


    Drive automation across finance operations (payroll, payables, receivables, reporting) to improve efficiency and accuracy.


    Own cash flow management, treasury, and working capital optimization.


    Lead budgeting and forecasting, partnering with business teams to drive planning rigor.


    Develop financial models and insights to support strategic decision-making.


    Manage relationships with investors, auditors, banks, and external partners.


    Support fundraising with investor-ready financials, narratives, and data rooms.


    Ensure seamless execution of statutory audits (Big 4) and all regulatory requirements (GST, PF, PT, etc.).


    Continuously identify cost optimization and efficiency opportunities across the business.


    What makes you a good fit


    8-12 years of experience across controllership, accounting, and finance operations.


    Experience building or significantly shaping the finance function in a 0 1 or 1 10 journey, ideally in SaaS.


    Strong bias towards controllership excellence, with working knowledge of FP&A.


    Proven ability to set up systems, processes, and internal controls from scratch.


    Experience in team building and leadership, with a focus on sustainable scaling.


    Comfort operating as a hands-on leader in an early-stage, high-growth environment.


    Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue recognition, and financial reporting is a plus.


    High ownership mindset-you're excited to build, automate, and scale rather than just manage.

    This is a true generalist business role that involves working closely with our CEO on cross-functional initiatives. It's an intense, always on, high impact role.     The role will involve working with different business functions to solve problems with first-principle thinking, managing key partnerships, supporting HR and org level initiatives, perfect for someone who thrives in ambiguity, likes solving unstructured problems, and enjoys collaborating across functions.

    What you'll doSolve high-impact, cross-functional problems that don't have clear owners - your primary responsibility is to bring clarity, drive execution, and deliver outcomes.Collaborate with Sales on initiatives to maximise revenue - from identifying and fixing funnel leakages to shaping pricing/packaging strategies and enabling the team with better processes and tools.Work closely with Customer Success to drive outcomes on critical KPIs like trial conversions, onboarding health, retention, and churn - through both strategic inputs and process design.Own and drive key partnerships (e.g. payment providers, enablement tools), ensuring seamless coordination across teams and timely execution.Lead company-wide initiatives in collaboration with HR - from improving onboarding processes to driving org health projects.Support strategic hiring efforts - from workforce planning to closing key roles, especially in Sales, CS, and Ops.Drive revenue and capacity planning, working with the CEO and team leads to ensure resources and targets are aligned.Design and maintain key business metrics and dashboards, ensuring accurate, actionable data is available for decision-making.
