    Position Overview

    The Site Commercial Manager (MEP Works) is responsible for overseeing all commercial functions of the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing vendors and subcontractors, and maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong coordination with project stakeholders, timely reporting, and effective risk management.

    Key Responsibilities

    Commercial Functions Oversee all commercial activities of the project, including contract management, vendor negotiations, and financial reporting.Project Planning & Approvals Prepare and review basic project planning documents, submit to authorities, and secure necessary approvals.Vendor & Subcontractor Management Identify qualified MEP vendors, subcontractors, and PRWs; float technical enquiries; evaluate quotations; prepare cost comparison sheets (CCS); negotiate prices; and ensure timely deployment. Follow up with the HO for timely approval of the vendors/subcontract approvals and releasing the POs/Agreements. Preparing PR & PO at site level and ensure accuracy through SAP systems.Cost Control & Budgeting Monitor Progress / costs and report it to Project manager and to HO . Prepare cost-to-complete /balance cost , track variances, and ensure expenditures remain within budget.Billing & Payments Submit work bills/IPAs on time, reconcile materials (MEP Items, cement, RMC, aggregates, other free issue items etc), and manage subcontractor billing and payments and ensure accuracy through SAP systems.Contractual Correspondence Draft and respond to letters from engineers, consultants, and vendors; maintain document control through the Document Controller.Progress Monitoring Track daily work progress prepare MPR/WPR/DPR reports, and update project manager and head office.Risk Management Identify project risks, maintain risk registers, and assist in mitigation strategies.Claims & Variations Notify delays, variations, and extra items; prepare rate analysis; submit claims; and ensure timely closure.MIS Reporting Generate MIS reports for top management, including monthly revenue and cost flow statements.Material & Resource Planning Prepare construction material requirements aligned with budget planning.Subcontract Management Issue POs/WOs, prepare monthly work done bills, recommend approvals, and resolve subcontractor issues promptly. Well versed with SAP

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.Minimum 10-15 years of experience in commercial/project management roles within MEP works.Familiarity with SAP software is an advantage.

    Job Summary


    We are seeking an experienced QA/QC professional to lead quality assurance and quality control activities for large-scale water infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in water reservoirs, canal systems, pumped storage projects (PSP), and rockfill dam construction, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and quality management systems.


    Key Responsibilities


    Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC plans, procedures, and inspection programs for civil construction works.Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, drawings, and relevant Indian and international standards.Supervise quality control activities related to earthworks, concrete, rockfill, embankments, canal structures, and hydraulic structures.Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), and material approvals.Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party agencies.Monitor testing activities for construction materials and ensure laboratory compliance.Identify quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, test reports, and audit reports.Conduct internal quality audits and ensure timely closure of observations.Lead and mentor the QA/QC team while coordinating with project execution, design, procurement, and HSE teams.Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and organizational quality objectives.


    Required Experience

    15-18 years of experience in QA/QC for major civil infrastructure projects.Proven experience in one or more of the following:Water Reservoir ProjectsCanal ProjectsPumped Storage Projects (PSP)Rockfill Dam ConstructionStrong knowledge of construction quality standards, testing procedures, and inspection practices.Experience in handling client and consultant inspections and quality audits.


    Desired Skills
