Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Finance professional with strong expertise in Indian statutory compliance, taxation, payroll compliance, and end-to-end accounting operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working in Staffing/Recruitment, IT Services, Software, or Product-based companies and should be well-versed in Indian government regulations including GST, TDS, ESI, PF, Professional Tax, ROC, and labor compliance requirements.
The candidate will manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, payroll coordination, statutory filings, compliance reporting, and financial reconciliations while ensuring accuracy, audit readiness, and timely submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Operations
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closing.Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.Monitor vendor payments, customer collections, aging reports, and cash flow.Prepare MIS reports, P&L statements, balance sheets, and financial summaries for management.Ensure accurate bookkeeping and maintenance of accounting records in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems.
GST, Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, reconciliation).Handle GST input credit reconciliation and compliance reviews.Manage TDS calculations, deductions, quarterly filings, Form 16/16A issuance, and reconciliations.Ensure timely filing of ESI, PF, Professional Tax, Labor Welfare Fund, and other statutory compliances.Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities during audits and assessments.Stay updated on Indian government regulations, labor laws, taxation updates, and compliance policies.
Payroll & Staffing Industry Compliance
Coordinate payroll processing, employee reimbursements, salary validations, and statutory deductions.Review employee/client timesheets and validate billing data.Handle client invoicing based on staffing deployments, bill rates, utilization, and timesheets.Ensure compliance with staffing/recruitment industry billing cycles and contractor payroll requirements.Manage employee documentation and statutory records for contract staffing operations.
Invoicing & Billing
Generate accurate client invoices as per contracts, SOWs, and timesheets.Track invoice status, collections, credit notes, and payment follow-ups.Work closely with delivery, HR, and sales teams for billing accuracy and revenue tracking.
Audit & Internal Controls
Support internal and external audits.Maintain proper documentation for financial and statutory records.Improve financial controls, compliance processes, and reporting accuracy.
