Job Purpose
To manage end-to-end placement of Non-Employee Benefits (Non-EB) General Insurance risks, ensuring optimal coverage, competitive pricing, and timely policy issuance through effective coordination with insurers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Placement & Renewals
Insurer & Market Coordination
Maintain strong working relationships with underwriters and insurers.Track insurer appetite, capacity, pricing trends, and market movements.Support insurer meetings, risk presentations, and technical discussions.Internal Stakeholder Support
Work closely with Corporate Sales, Account Management, and Operations teams.Support large RFQs, new business placements, and complex renewals.Assist in resolving placement-related escalations and underwriting queries.Documentation & Compliance
Ensure timely policy issuance, endorsements, and documentation.Review policy wordings for accuracy, coverage, and compliance.Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and internal SOPs.Maintain MIS, placement trackers, and audit-ready documentation.Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of General Insurance (Non-EB) products.Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.Ability to interpret complex policy wordings and risk exposures.Good communication and coordination skills.Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting.Ability to work under pressure during renewal cycles.Qualifications & Experience
Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (Insurance/MBA preferred).8-10 years of experience in Non-EB Placement / GI Underwriting / Broking.Prior experience dealing with multiple insurers and large corporate risks preferred.Knowledge of specialty and liability lines is an advantage.
