    Position Overview:

    The Commercial Manager - Software Division will be responsible for managing end-to-end commercial operations, client account management, and revenue growth through software and digital product sales. The role involves contract management, pricing, invoicing, proposal preparation, coordination with technical teams, and ensuring profitability and compliance across all software business transactions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Sales & Business Development

    Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new software sales opportunities.Manage existing client relationships and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.Support pre-sales activities including proposal preparation, quotations, and tenders.Collaborate with the technical and product teams to customize solutions as per client requirements.

    2. Commercial & Contract Management

    Prepare and manage commercial proposals, MoUs, and client contracts ensuring commercial viability.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with clients and vendors.Monitor project profitability, billing cycles, and collections.Ensure all commercial transactions are compliant with internal and statutory requirements.

    3. Financial & MIS Reporting

    Maintain and track sales pipeline, forecasts, and revenue realization.Prepare monthly commercial reports and dashboards for management review.Coordinate with the finance team for billing, tax documentation, and reconciliations.

    4. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

    Liaise with internal stakeholders - legal, finance, operations, and delivery teams for smooth project execution.Manage external vendors, consultants, and software license partners for procurement and renewals.

    5. Process Improvement & Compliance

    Implement process improvements to strengthen commercial efficiency and control.Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and client terms.Monitor market trends and competitor pricing strategies for continuous improvement.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Engineering; MBA preferred.Experience: 6-10 years of experience in software/commercial sales, business operations, or key account management roles.Experience in handling software contracts, licensing, or SaaS-based business preferred.Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and ERP/finance systems.
