Role Title: Business Intelligence Analyst
Position Summary:
The business Intelligence Analyst is primarily responsible to assist with analytical support through data analysis and knowledge management for internal and external customers. Extract and implement data analyses from various data collection systems to advance knowledge in improvements, efficiencies and overall business experience. Identify and suggest actionable insights which can be extracted from the data. Aid in cleansing and transforming data into innovative solutions to optimize descriptive analytics, business processes, reporting solutions, etc. Explore opportunities for emerging technologies (i.e. artificial intelligence, machine learning, SPSS, dashboards, etc.). Remain aware of system changes and resulting data impacts. Cultivate intellectual curiosity to advance business knowledge and technical skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Aid in identifying opportunities to refine, enhance and produce the existing analytics, data reporting, etc. created by and for underwriting, engineering, client services, marketing, claims and operations.Integrate and analyze data from internal insurance, reinsurance, claims, loss, engineering and sources that will aid in decision-making and input for Underwriting procedures / guidelines, management tools, engineering processes, etc. Assist with the production of trend reports and operational analyses which convey insight into the overall FM business experience, efficiencies and improvements. Identify and help define opportunities to create new business insights from internal and external data.Collaborate with other business units in support of the various analytic and data reporting needs. Research business problems and assist in creating solutions to analyze these problems. Aid in gathering and validating business requirements for the design of solutions. Support the business unit testing efforts. Assist in the development of end-user training material.Skill and Experience:
3 years of experience required to perform essential job functions.Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence successful outcomes with diverse business groups.Effective problem solving, decision making and strong analytical skills are a must.Excellent computer skills across various hardware systems and PCs are a must.The ideal candidate will possess intellectual curiosity and efficient time management skills.The incumbent shall have knowledge and proficiency in the use of Excel and SQL Server, with aptitude in some of the following: Access, R, Python, Power BI, data management, SAS, SPSS, industry standard tools, etc. Industry knowledge desired.Power BI experience with knowledge in DAX.SQL.Microsoft Fabric (Desirable).Power query (Desired).Data analysis skills and understanding of data concepts.Ability to understand trend analysis, forecasts, and sentiment analysis.Familiarity in normalizing data and working across diverse datasets.3 years of hands-on analysis experience.Education and Certifications:
4 Year /Bachelor degree required.Work location: Bengaluru.
