    You've trained properly, worked big kitchens, and earned your CDP stripes. Now you want a role where your hands are in the food and your mind is in the recipe - not just executing someone else's vision.

    Jaipur Modern is a heritage all-day kitchen in C-Scheme, Jaipur - featured in Condé Nast Traveller, known for design-led hospitality and food with a strong point of view. We're looking for a chef who can own our in-house speciality production, drive recipe development across bakery and savoury, and grow into the creative engine of our kitchen.

    What you'll own

    Seasonal menu development - researching, testing, and proposing new dishes each season, rooted in Rajasthan's produce calendar and JM's food identityRecipe development across savoury and bakery - dips, spreads, crackers, breads, and retail-ready speciality itemsImproving kitchen systems - SOPs, prep workflows, consistency documentation, and recipe cards that make the kitchen more self-sufficientIn-house production of speciality items currently sourced externallyCatering support - menu ideation, prep, and execution for private events and off-site bookingsMaintaining a live recipe library: costed, documented, and kitchen-executable

    What you bring

    A professional culinary degree from a recognised institutionMinimum 5 years of kitchen experience including time in high-volume or large-format kitchensCurrent or recent CDP-level experienceEqual comfort in savoury and bakery - this is not a single-track roleA genuine creative instinct backed by technical disciplineThe rigour to document what you create, not just cook it

    How this role sits in the kitchen

    You report to and work alongside our Senior Chef, who owns kitchen operations and the line. Your lane is distinct - recipe development, speciality production, and systems improvement. You are not here to run the line. You are here to build what goes on it and make the kitchen behind it sharper.

    All new dishes go through a defined process: concept cost kitchen trial Director sign-off launch. You own the first three steps.

    Jaipur Modern is one of Jaipur's most recognised hospitality destinations - an all-day kitchen and concept store in a 1940s heritage bungalow in C-Scheme, featured in Condé Nast Traveller and ranked in TripAdvisor's top 50. We've recently launched a curated beer and wine programme and are expanding our evening business and events calendar.

    We're hiring a Guest Experience Lead whose entire focus is the guest - not floor operations, not staff management. Those are owned. This role exists to make every guest feel personally looked after, visit after visit.

    What This Role Is - and Isn't

    This is a guest experience role, not an operations role. Jaipur Modern already has a Restaurant Manager, Prem, who is on the floor full-time and owns how the floor runs - staffing, pacing, systems, service flow. You are not a second version of that. You exist to do the thing operational management can't fully do while also running the room: build a relationship with the individual guest in front of you, table by table, visit by visit.

    You report to Restaurant Manager.

    What You'll Do

    - Own the welcome and send-off for every table - personally, consistently

    - Build genuine relationships with returning guests; remember names, remember preferences

    - Make warm, confident recommendations on food, wine, and craft beer

    - Handle guest concerns in the moment with calm and ownership

    - Manage the guest experience layer for private bookings and events

    - Submit a short daily guest log to the Restaurant Manager

    What We're Looking For

    - 3+ years in a senior guest-facing role in premium casual dining, boutique hotels, or fine dining

    - Genuine warmth with guests that doesn't feel scripted

    - Confidence with a wine and beer list - knowledge is a plus, curiosity is a must

    - Fluent English; Hindi assumed

    - Comfortable working alongside a hands-on Restaurant Manager - you own guest relationships, he owns floor operations
