Job Summary:
The Quality Executive will ensure that all powder coating operations and finished products meet company quality standards, client specifications, and industry regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing:Conduct in-process and final inspections of powder coated aluminium and other surfaces.Measure coating thickness (60-80 microns), gloss, adhesion, impact resistance, and other quality parameters.Perform visual inspection and detect surface defects (blistering, uneven coating, colour variation).Documentation & Reporting:Maintain detailed records of inspection results, deviations, and corrective actions.Prepare quality reports for management and client approvals.Ensure proper calibration and maintenance records for all measuring equipment.Compliance & Standards:Ensure all operations adhere to client-specific requirements.Monitor compliance with company SOPs, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.Support external audits and inspections by clients or certification agencies.Process Improvement:Identify quality issues and suggest improvements in production processes.Work closely with production teams to minimize defects and wastage.Recommend new testing methods, tools, or equipment to enhance quality control.Client & Vendor Coordination:Assist in colour matching and shade approvals as per Engineer-in-Charge.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material quality verification.Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Chemistry, Metallurgy, or relevant field.2-4 years of experience in quality control/assurance in powder coating or surface finishing industry.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and documentation skills.Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.Good communication and coordination skills for cross-functional interaction.Desirable Skills:
Experience in lab testing for adhesion, impact, gloss, and thickness.Familiarity with powder coating equipment and production processes.Knowledge of ISO / QA systems. Read Less
