    Your Role

    The Solutions Consultant is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, aligning how we best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks.

    As a Solutions Consultant you provide technical leadership and expertise and guidance in your customer's security transformation journey. You will play a key role in defining technical solutions that secure a customer's key business imperatives and ensuring value realization of their investment with Palo Alto Networks.     Your Experience

    Having experience of 10+ years in handling PSUs and central governmentUnderstanding of data networking and/or modern application design and cloud architecturesDelivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiativesInfluencing and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders, either in a customer-facing or internal role; prior experience in a pre-sales role is idealHandling Government tenders , RFP Management , connects in Central Government & PSU accounts & Government centric Partner ecosystem (Consulting Partners, SIs etc)Creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements Partnering with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutionsComplex sales involving long sales processes with multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions are preferredExperience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing one or more of the following solutions: Network Security firewalls (i.e., hardware and virtual), proxy, IPS/IDS, sandboxing, URL filtering, and DNS security SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies

    You will work firsthand with our valued customers to address their complex post-sales concerns where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of many factors.     Provide Technical Support to customers and partnersT3-technical support role who will be handling escalations from the front line and Tier 2 technical support teams within Palo Alto networksProvide configurations, troubleshooting, and best practices to customersManage support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups are completed in a timely mannerProvide fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issuesPreparing detailed RCA documents for official submissions to customersPublish Technical Support Bulletins and other technical documentation in the Knowledge BaseReview of technical documentation for training materials, technical marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc.Working with engineering on filling bugs and working with product teams on feature requestsWorking on Hot / Risk technical escalations from the region or other theaters Lead case swarming and training sessions for frontline teamsWilling to work in flexible and varying shift times, including weekends and evenings

    Qualifications

    More than 5 years of customer-facing technical support experienceExpertise with Remote Access VPN solutions, IPSEC, PKI & SSL, TCP/IP, Authentication Protocols (LDAP, RADIUS etc.)Experience working with Firewall Central Management SystemsExperience working with multi-factor authentication security system (tokens, certificates, CAC cards, and similar)Working knowledge of Security services (IDS/IPS, Firewalls etc.)Strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols requiredExcellent English written and verbal communication skills are requiredExperience with Windows , Linux and MAC OS is a plus (Debugging, Editing Registries, Plist etc.)Experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper (Netscreen), and Fortinet products is a plusWilling to work in flexible and varying shift times including weekends and evenings is a plusTravel to customer sites in the event of a critical situation to expedite resolution as required (if needed) is a plus
