    Role Description The Academic Coordinator - Primary School is a full-time, on-site role based at Redbricks School in Ahmedabad. This position oversees the academic program for primary grades, ensuring alignment with the school's educational philosophy and curriculum requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding and mentoring teachers, coordinating for effective curriculum planning and its implementation, monitoring academic processes and student progress, promoting professional learning, developing important policies and processes and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning in collaboration with different stakeholders. The role also involves regular communication with families, contributing to school events, and helping to build a positive, child-centered learning environment.


    Qualifications & Background

    Strong foundation in Education, including understanding of K-12 pedagogies and primary school learning needs.Experience in Curriculum design and development preferably for primary years. Teaching experience with primary age children using innovative pedagogy. Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with teachers, engaging with families, and contributing to school-wide initiatives.Master's degree in Education or a related field; specialization in primary or elementary education is preferred.Prior experience in academic coordination or instructional leadership in a school setting.Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a learner-centered mindset.Comfort working in collaborative, cross-functional teams and openness to continuous professional learning.     Progressive Teachers for Primary School Teacher Role Background:

    At Redbricks School, we believe in a balanced progressive teaching approach and have developed our own unique curriculum until Class 6. From Class 7 onwards, students follow the ICSE curriculum. We are on the lookout for teaching candidates who have a deep passion for education and who can understand and implement the unique pedagogy of the school.

    Qualifications:

    For teaching in Grades 1 to 3: Graduation in any stream is required; B.ed is preferred, but not compulsory (Subjects: EVS & English)

    Job Type: Full-time based in Ahmedabad

    Role and Responsibilities:

    1. Planning the curriculum and lesson plans.

    2. Implementing progressive teaching methods to foster meaningful learning.

    3. Understanding and guiding student behavior through positive guidance techniques.

    4. Conducting ongoing assessment methods to gauge and support student learning.

    5. Engaging in parent communication, collaboration and education for a two-way school-home partnership.

    6. Collaborating with other teachers for developing a well-coordinated and high quality system.

    7. Reflecting on teaching and gaining new knowledge through various professional development opportunities.

    8. Contributing to school-wide activities such as events, celebrations, extra-curricular projects, SEL initiatives, etc., based on own talents and interests.
