This role is responsible for managing key functions within Transaction Tax, including overseeing the month-end process and ensuring tax compliance through the preparations of tax returns and execution of tax reconciliations. This person will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptive to changes. This person will have a "can-do" attitude and be able to roll up the sleeves to do hands-on work. This person will assist our finance function develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.


    Responsibilities:

    Prepare and Review Month End Reports. Preparing USF analysis and Traffic Study reports and other revenue reports.Prepare Tax Returns. Responsible for preparing state returns, including sales and use tax and business tax returns, using the appropriate jurisdiction websites and Avalara. Ensure timely payment of tax due.Prepare financial statements. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory as applicable. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close.Reports and Analysis. Assist in the preparation of fluctuation analyses and perform financial statement analytics, providing relevant explanations for fluctuations.Project and Process Improvement. Participation in projects relating to process improvement both from a business standpoint and system related.Audits and Reviews. Support government audits and reviews by providing period over period fluctuation analysis, supporting schedules, accounting reconciliations, pulling selections and interfacing with government auditors as required.Compliance. Assist in implementation and documentation of internal control, process and related procedures. Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements. Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principlesPerform other duties as assigned.


    To succeed in this role you must have the following:

    3+ years of experience in the Tax functionGraduate of Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance


    Desired Qualifications:

    Preferred experience on Netsuite or ERP. Experience in using NetSuite and ERP is a plusOrganization and Project Management skills - Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong time management skills and able to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Strong ability to give attention to detail and to perform multiple tasks at the same time.Communication skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
