    Senvion is seeking a talent professional with 8+ years of experience in Loads Engineer, accountable for the design load calculations of the wind turbine and its various mechanical systems/ structural parts with focus on the rotor-nacelle assembly and Tower. Supporting the loads reduction strategy in alignment with Controls strategy development. Documenting of loads calculations and evaluation of various systems/components to support engineering team and Certification process of Wind turbine components. Improving methods of load calculation and tools for better load simulations of wind turbines.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Numerical modelling of wind turbines with using (e.g. Flex, Bladed)Optimize load reduction and performance with better strategies.Collaborate with controls team to build efficient controller by providing loads and dynamics of turbine. Support with continuous iterations.Support type certification activities related load evaluation and activities like measuring campaign for certification.Evaluate new Products/Platforms at early stage in alignment with Engineering team, contributing Load Assessment of new systems/components.Load assessment for NPIs and RCAs, Recommending better control technologies to mitigate mechanical loads & improve turbine power performance.Drive simplification in the systems modeling, loads simulation and documentation, as well as component checks to resolve technical challenges supporting certification process along the chain from system modeling to experimental validation.Performing the site-specific Loads assessment/ mitigation strategies to support sales by providing design assessments and also Providing the site-specific power curve simulations.Jointly with the Systems Engineering team, deploys methodologies to analyze component design driving loads and rank them to target load reduction strategies selectively.Provides solutions in the field of simulation, operability or system trade-off recommendation to optimize the cost of energy by reducing design driving loads and maximizing the energy capture.Collaborate with turbine system owners (in Engineering team) regarding the modeling of various WTG components.Evaluate floating support structures.Produce, optimize and maintain loads documents, procedures and tools set up and follow IEC standards.Contributes to continuous improvement in methods and tools in collaboration with the AT&S team and leads process related improvements re. interfaces with the design teams.


    Desired Professional Experience:


    Must have experience in wind turbine loads calculations and Turbine modelling tools Flex/Bladed/Simpack/FAST/HAWC-2Experience on loads evaluation for turbines designed for site specific climatic conditions.Must have experience in Programming/Modelling methods and tools e.g. Matlab, Simulink, Python.
