Senior Agronomist
The incumbent will lead and oversee organic farming operations with a strong emphasis on maintaining soil health and organic integrity. This role is responsible for designing scalable organic systems, ensuring certification standards are being followed, improving soil fertility, and managing agronomy teams to deliver sustainable and productive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning and execution of organic crop production programs across multiple locationsDevelop long-term soil health improvement strategies (soil organic carbon, microbial activity, structure) Design and implement crop rotation, intercropping, and regenerative farming models Oversee preparation and application of organic inputs (compost, vermicompost, biofertilizers, botanical extracts) Supervise documentation, traceability systems, and audit readiness Monitor soil testing programs and interpret results to guide nutrient management plans Implement integrated pest and disease management using biological and ecological methods Lead, train, and mentor Agronomists, Executives. Officers and field staff Collaborate with farmer groups, FPOs, and external stakeholders Evaluate farm performance data and recommend continuous improvements Drive adoption of regenerative practices such as mulching, cover cropping. Manage budgets related to agronomy operations and optimize input costs
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, or related field 6-12 years of experience, with significant exposure to organic or sustainable agriculture Proven experience in managing agronomy teams or large-scale farm operations Strong knowledge of soil science, nutrient cycling, and organic farming systems Familiarity with organic certification processes and audits
Location - Hyderabad ( would be required to travel frequently across all locations)
