Role Description The BESS Plant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane, responsible for overseeing daily operations of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant. This role includes managing plant performance, supervising operations and maintenance teams, and ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards. The Plant Manager will plan and coordinate production schedules, optimize manufacturing processes, and monitor equipment efficiency to meet output and reliability targets. Additional responsibilities include reporting on plant KPIs, coordinating with engineering and supply chain teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves managing budgets, supporting audits, and ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are consistently met.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Plant Management and Plant Operations for energy or manufacturing facilities.Strong Operations Management capabilities, including resource allocation and process optimization.Experience in Production Planning and scheduling to meet delivery and performance targets.Hands-on background in Manufacturing Operations, preferably in renewable energy or power systems.Relevant technical degree (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering) or equivalent experience.Knowledge of BESS technologies, power systems, and industrial safety standards.Ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate clearly in spoken and written English.Proficiency in using plant monitoring software, MS Office, and data-driven decision-making tools.Experience with quality management, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance is beneficial.
