Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer role based in Hyderabad. The Safety Officer will monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, company policies, and client requirements. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, identifying and mitigating hazards, and ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment. The role involves leading safety inductions and toolbox talks, organizing regular safety training, and maintaining accurate records of inspections, permits, safety meetings, and incident reports. The Safety Officer will investigate accidents and near-misses, recommend corrective and preventive actions, coordinate with project and site management on safety plans, and support audits and compliance with statutory requirements.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health principles, standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to construction and industrial environments.Experience in Accident Investigation, including root-cause analysis, incident documentation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Ability to manage Security and site access controls to support a safe and secure work environment.Experience delivering Safety Training, toolbox talks, and safety inductions to team members at all levels.Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field; recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are preferred.Familiarity with construction site practices, pre-engineered buildings, and steel structures is an advantage.Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviors and foster a safety-first culture.Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
