    The Deputy Director - Training & Placement is responsible for supporting the Director in planning, executing, and monitoring placement and training activities. The role focuses on strengthening corporate relations, enhancing student employability, coordinating placement drives, and ensuring successful campus recruitment outcomes. The Deputy Director plays a key role in achieving placement targets and building long-term industry partnerships.


    Key Responsibilities


    1. Strategic Planning & Execution

    Assist the Director in designing and implementing placement strategies aligned with institutional goals. Develop annual placement plans, training calendars, and recruitment schedules. Monitor placement targets across departments and ensure timely achievement. Support the formulation of placement policies and procedures.


    2. Corporate Relations & Industry Engagement

    Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate organizations and recruiters. Identify new placement partners across diverse industries. Facilitate signing of MoUs and strategic partnerships with companies. Represent the university in industry meetings, career fairs, and networking events.


    3. Training & Employability Development

    Oversee training programs focused on soft skills, aptitude, technical skills, and interview readiness. Coordinate with internal faculty and external trainers to conduct workshops and certification programs. Monitor student readiness for campus recruitment. Ensure implementation of industry-relevant training modules.


    4. Placement Operations Management

    Supervise end-to-end placement processes including job postings, interviews, and offer tracking. Manage campus recruitment drives, virtual hiring sessions, and pre-placement talks. Ensure smooth coordination between recruiters, students, and academic departments. Handle escalation issues related to placements and recruitment activities.


    5. Team Leadership & Supervision

    Lead and supervise placement officers, corporate relations executives, and support staff. Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance. Conduct regular review meetings with team members. Provide mentorship and professional guidance to the placement team.


    6. Data Management & Reporting

    Analyze placement statistics and generate reports for senior management. Maintain placement dashboards and performance metrics. Ensure accuracy of student placement records and corporate data. Prepare presentations and reports for accreditation bodies and audits.


    7. Stakeholder Coordination

    Collaborate with academic departments to align training with industry needs. Coordinate with alumni and industry mentors for placement support. Engage parents and students in placement awareness activities.


    8. Compliance & Quality Assurance

    Ensure placement activities comply with university policies and regulatory requirements. Support institutional accreditation processes related to placement outcomes. Maintain quality standards in training and placement operations.


    Required Qualifications

    Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) / Human Resource Management / Marketing / Management or related field. Additional certifications in Training, HR, or Career Services are desirable.


    Experience Requirements

    Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Training & Placement, Corporate Relations, HR, or Talent Acquisition. At least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role in placement or corporate relations. Experience in university or higher education placement operations preferred. Read Less
