Position Description:
Perform general accounts payable duties focused on Non-PO Invoices ensuring proper approval is obtained, in accordance with company and established accounting policies and procedures. Use OCR Software (Optical Character Recognition) and resolve invoice posting issues. Ensure timely processing of invoices. Perform other AP general duties as assigned. Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.
General Duties and Responsibilities:

Position Description:
Perform general accounts payable duties working closely with Accounts Payable Manager. Good understanding of processing Inventory Purchase Order Invoices with 3 way match and Non-PO Invoices, in accordance with company and established accounting policies and procedures. Good understanding of OCR Software (Optical Character Recognition) and resolve invoice posting issues. Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments. Perform other AP general duties as assigned. Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives invoices from vendors, and corporate associates.Reviews each invoice, ensuring the following: legitimacy, accurate coding, appropriate approvals, and that the correct amount is paid.Prioritizes processing of invoices requiring immediate attention, including but not limited to utilities, government agencies, legal settlements, expense reports, customer refunds, and phone bills.Codes and batches invoices as appropriate.Enters invoices into the accounts payable software system; verifies work and schedule invoices for payment.Processes recurring invoices for payment.Prints, voids and processes mailing of checks and releases entries to the general ledger.Researches invoice and account issues and provides resolution including but not limited to; resolving payment discrepancies and invoice discrepancies.Serves as a resource for less experienced staff.Evaluates current work and business processes and identifies and supports business process improvements.Education and/or Experience:
