Job Role: Automotive Functional Safety Engineer (ISO 26262)

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Functional Safety Engineer with strong expertise in ISO 26262 (mandatory) and safety-critical embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in functional safety lifecycle, safety analysis, and ASIL-based development, contributing to robust and compliant automotive software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and drive software functional safety activities across the development lifecycle in accordance with ISO 26262Define functional safety concepts, safety goals, safety mechanisms, and safety requirementsPerform safety analysis activities including FMEA, DFA, FTA, and FFIExecute ASIL decomposition and ensure proper allocation of safety requirementsDesign and review safety-oriented software architecture for automotive ECUsEnsure bi-directional traceability across requirements, design, implementation, and validationReview MCU safety manuals and architectures from vendors such as Infineon, NXP, and Renesas
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering discipline7+ years of experience in software development with
5+ years in Functional Safety projectsStrong experience in
ISO 26262 compliant system and software developmentStrong programming expertise in
Embedded C / C++Deep understanding of
safety analysis techniques (FMEA, DFA, FTA, FFI)Hands-on experience in
ASIL decomposition and safety requirement allocationStrong understanding of
safety engineering principles and safety-oriented architectureExperience with
Requirements Management tools (DOORS)Working knowledge of
AUTOSAR-based systemsExperience with
MISRA C/C++ guidelines and static code analysis tools
