Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer, located in Madurai. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products. Daily tasks include creating and iterating on machine designs, product designs, and using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to draft and model designs. The role involves collaborating with other engineers and team members to ensure design feasibility, functionality, and adherence to project requirements and standards.
Qualifications
Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Product Design skillsMinimum 4 years of Experience in Design and developmentMinimum 3 years of experience in Solidworks & SheetmetalMechanical Engineering skills and knowledgeStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentBachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in the relevant industry is a plusKey Responsibilities:
Create and revise 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorksPerform engineering calculations and tolerance analysis to support design intentCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project management teams to ensure product feasibility and performanceDevelop BOMs, part lists, and documentation to support production and procurementConduct design reviews and implement changes based on feedback and test resultsSupport prototype builds and testingTroubleshoot mechanical issues and provide engineering solutions
