About the Role
We are hiring a Junior Finance Associate to support the finance operations of a UAE based client in the logistics domain. The role is ideal for fresh graduates who want hands on exposure to real world finance operations while being part of Wertical's consulting and back office team.
The selected candidate will be on the payroll of Wertical and will work closely with the client's finance processes in a structured, execution focused role.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner Manage Accounts Receivable and Payable (AR/AP) activities, including follow ups and reconciliations Handle bank reconciliation activities and ensure timely posting of related accounting entries Prepare and post journal entries as part of regular accounting operations Support month end closing activities through reconciliations, checks, and documentation Perform job closing activities and ensure related entries are completed Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Perform routine data validation and accuracy checks Support internal and external audits by providing required documents Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure smooth finance operationsSkills & Qualifications
/ Finance / Accounting preferredOther graduates (BBA / BA / BSc) may apply if they have basic accounting knowledge or strong interest in financeFreshers with basic finance knowledge are encouraged to applyCandidates with logistics or shipping education background will have an added advantageBasic working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting fundamentalsStrong attention to detail and accuracyWillingness to learn, take ownership, and work in a hands on roleLooking for stability and long term learning (minimum one year association preferred)This role may not be suitable for candidates with postgraduate qualifications (such as ) or those seeking analytical, strategic, or fast track growth roles.
