    Role Overview

    As a Senior Social Media Account Manager, you will own social media strategy and execution for large, enterprise- grade B2B clients. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands how the social landscape is evolving - from platform algorithms and executive visibility to employer reputation and AI-assisted workflows.

    You will act as the owner of social for your accounts - shaping what gets said, where it shows up, and how it's managed - while working closely with content, design, digital, and account teams.

    Corporate candidates with strong in-house social or communications experience are welcome. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Bangalore.


    Key Responsibilities

    1.Social Strategy & Narrative Management

    Own social media strategy for assigned B2B accounts - aligned to brand positioning and business prioritiesTranslate campaigns, thought leadership, and leadership POVs into clear social narrativesBuild monthly and quarterly content plans with intent (not just frequency)


    2.Reputation & Trust Management

    Manage brand presence across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and reputation surfaces like GlassdoorPartner with HR / Employer Brand teams on review response strategies and content alignmentFlag reputation risks early and manage escalation calmly and professionally


    3.Execution & Platform Excellence

    Drive end-to-end execution: briefs, coordination, approvals, publishing, and moderationEnsure quality, consistency, and relevance across platformsStay updated on platform changes, formats, and best practices - and apply them pragmatically


    4.Client Ownership

    Be the primary social media leader and strategist for clientsLead reviews, performance discussions, and planning conversations with confidenceHandle feedback, iterations, and stakeholder expectations with maturity


    5.Measurement, Tools & AI

    Track performance using social analytics and listening tools (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, native analytics, etc.)Move beyond vanity metrics to insight-led reporting for B2B brandsUse AI tools responsibly to improve speed, consistency, and ideation


    6.Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    Guide junior social team members where applicableCollaborate closely with SEO, paid, brand, web, and PR teams for integrated outcomesBring structure, predictability, and momentum into social delivery


    Desired Skills & Experience

    5-8 OR 8-12 years of experience managing social media for B2B or enterprise brands (agency or in-house)Strong understanding of LinkedIn as a B2B growth and reputation platformExperience handling executive / leadership social presence is a strong plusFamiliarity with social management, listening, and reporting toolsComfort working in complex stakeholder environments with approvals and governanceCurious about new formats, AI, and evolving social behaviorsOrganized, accountable, and calm under pressureComfortable working in-office and collaborating closely with teams

    About the Role


    WSO2 is seeking a Lead - Commercial Sales to drive growth across India (excluding South India), with responsibility for expanding existing customer accounts while also acquiring new commercial and mid-enterprise customers. This role requires disciplined account management, proactive prospecting, and strong execution across the full sales cycle.


    The successful candidate will own a defined territory, working closely with sales engineering, channels & alliances, and marketing to drive predictable revenue growth.


    Key Responsibilities


    Account Growth & Retention

    Own and grow a portfolio of existing commercial accounts through renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunitiesDevelop strong account understanding, stakeholder mapping, and expansion strategiesEnsure high customer satisfaction and proactive churn risk management


    New Business Acquisition

    Proactively prospect and acquire new commercial customers within the assigned territoryDrive end-to-end sales cycles: discovery, qualification, value articulation, negotiation, and closeBuild a healthy, predictable pipeline aligned to targets


    Territory & Pipeline Management

    Own a defined South India territory, balancing existing accounts and new logo focusMaintain disciplined pipeline coverage and forecasting accuracyManage the entire sales cycle (prospecting, qualification, value creation, close planning, negotiation)


    Partner & Ecosystem Engagement

    Work with regional partners and SI ecosystem to co-sell and expand reachLeverage partner capabilities to unlock new opportunities and accelerate deals


    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    Partner with Solution Engineering to position WSO2's API, integration, and IAM platforms effectivelyCollaborate with marketing on regional campaigns, events, and pipeline-generation initiativesWork closely with the A&C team to onboard and execute partner-led and co-sell motions



    Qualifications and Skills


    10+ years of B2B technology sales experience, preferably in SaaS, or middlewareProven experience in commercial / mid-market account management and new logo acquisitionStrong understanding of enterprise buying processes and multi-stakeholder salesExperience selling platforms related to API management, integration, IAM, cloud, or digital platforms is a strong plusExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools.Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
